The IMM Course

Experiència a l’international Marketing Management, escrit per l’alumne de l’Institut de Vic Nil Priego, en l’idioma vehicular del cicle formatiu.

I wonder what Neil Armstrong thought when he first stepped into the moon as the first man. Being the pioneer and all that would surely have been an experience to never forget…

Well, I haven’t been the first man to land in the moon because that place is already taken, but at least I am a pioneer of something also very important: education.

The IMM course stands for “International Marketing Management”, and it’s based on a new project that aims to gather several different nationalities and make them be part of a same class. This class will travel to each other’s countries to adapt themselves in a new and changing environment, mimicking the world of business.

We began in Italy, then the Netherlands, followed by Spain and ending in Portugal. For now, I’ve only lived the experience in 3 of the 4 different countries, and I can already say that this has changed me, especially from the inside:

I started the journey as a kid and I saw myself growing up to the point of becoming a self-conscious adult across different countries, and that, even though may sound like a cliché, is the most important thing I’ve realized during these last months. Using other words, in this period of time I‘ve gathered a great deal of experiences and gained tons of knowledge that in the end, are more reasons to venture yourself towards the unknown and fill your mind with personal enrichment.

Of course, you may encounter some problems along the way, and this is not but a test for you, to overcome it and advance to the next stage. In the end, that’s the only thing that matters, and if you take in consideration what you will earn with it, new problems will be necessary to be solved with new solutions.

To be honest, I am not selling you this course, because that would mean to paint it all happy and avoid the bad aspects of it –such as leaving your loved ones behind or find incompatibilities with your new classmates, among others– but I do recommend you try it out. For sure, the result will not leave you indifferent, and you will take the experience that comes with it.

Thank you.
